Their first date in New Haven was just ok and she planned to introduce him to friends. Since he was new to town, she left a basket of apple filled challah and treats at his apartment door. He asked for a second date and the rest is history. Three kids and fifteen years later, he still plans special dates and she’s still baking him challah.
