We got married last year- December 27, 2015. We had actually met through this site two years previously but Yehoshua had no interest in me and never called me after I had to ask for his phone number. Fast forward to almost 2 years later, his family moved into my community and I chased after him. He originally was turned off by me because I was a bigger girl, but I was also insecure and barely talked on our date. When we went out again, after I nearly begged for another date, he didn't recognize me. I had lost a lot of weight and become so much more confident. I even went up to his mother and mentioned our first date (which she had known about). We got our wedding pushed up to be just under 4 months after we got engaged. My suggestion to all the guys on this site is that don't judge a girl based on her weight and looks- that's just hurtful. I was denied by so many people because of mainly looks, but also location, hashgafa, and other things. Be more flexible in your views and at least meet the girl. We would have been married much earlier if both our lives had been more into getting married at that time. Also, girls don't give up on that guy that ignored you or didn't call back. Overall, I wish everyone much hatzlacha in finding your basheret. I am so grateful for my husband and can't believe our first year anniversary is quickly approaching!
