Match #: 107 & 108
I had become very frustrated with the Frum dating world. Although only 21, and living in Monsey, NY - I had only gone out once. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands!
(Actually, I had signed on a bunch of dating websites -but JWed really catered the most to what I was looking for).
I communicated with anotherpotential shidduchsoon thereafter andwe went out on a date.
Despitehim saying no to a second date,I kept looking!
Shortly thereafter, I began communicating with another JWed member who seemed like a good possibility. We went out four times but then mutuallycalled it off.
From these two dates, I realized that I was looking for something slightly different than what I had originally expressed in my JWed profile. So, I immediately changed it to reflect a better picture of myself.

Meanwhile ·.during the time that I was now dating a Mr. X, something was going on in California - where my husband-to-be lived. (Mr Right!)
Adamhad used JWed some time back but had later suspended his profile. However Adam and his friends soon thereafter encouraged other friends to sign up with JWed. His friends insisted that they first see his JWed profile before taking the plunge! Having forgotten his own username and password, he decided to sign up again!
When Adamsigned up, it was pretty soon after I had changed my profile. And that was very lucky, because when he did a search, I was the first girl that popped up!!
He wrote to me. I foundthat very often people werelazy when it cametofilling in their personal essays intheir profiles. However, both Adamand Ihad our profiles comprehensively completed. And, they matched entirely! However, I was busy at the time!
I maintained some distant contact with Adamö though he was fully aware that I was dating someone.
After a short period, Mr. X and myself mutually ended our courtship. I even went out with one other guy after Mr X! - but that was one date and a royal disaster!
After that episode, I was basically about to Îshut-downâ all internet dating endeavors.
However, I had already been talking to Adamfor 2 weeks and felt it improper not to see him. He was coming into Monsey soon anyways, as he wanted to evaluateyeshivas for the coming year in New York. It would be a perfect opportunity to meet and go out.
However, there was one piece of the puzzle that I wasn't aware of while we were corresponding. He was already sure of me!
He later revealed that he was certain that nothing would emerge from my other dates. Somehow, he knew all along that we were meant to be together - but he kept that to himself and his friends.
My parents weren't so keen on the whole idea of me meeting guys on the Internet. So they spoke to our Rav and he told them that it was a great idea as long as engaged in some reference checking
before
speaking to them on the phone.
